Rosaries for Pagans May 8, 2007

The May 5 Washington Post featured Pagans who use rosaries or prayer beads as part of their regular worship practices. According to Meg Williams, a Pagan from Maine:
It makes me feel very connected to God…Going through this cycle of prayer, it switches your brain into recognizing that something holy is happening and God is with you.
Among the Pagan authorities quoted are Chas Clifton, Raven Kaldera and Christopher Penczak. Kudos to the Post for a well-researched, well-written, respectful and insightful article.

Just received from Kerri-Leigh Grady:
This November, five witches in San Diego will cast one of the most powerful spells we know. Team Witch Way to the Cure will take part in the Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk, to benefit Susan G Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust. Each step of the 60 miles we’ll walk will be taken with the intent to find a cure for this horrible disease.
They are taking donations here: we encourage our readers to offer their support!

Not long after posting, yr. editor was informed that the original article was an April Fool’s joke. (Silly me for not looking at the calendar!)
Apologies to our readers, and here’s hoping that Phil Brucato and Isaac Bonewits can get a refund at their local garden supply store.

Regular newWitch contributors Lupa and Taylor Ellwood will be presenting at Esozone on August 10-12. According to its homepage, Esozone promises to be
“an event decidedly oriented towards moving our specific meme culture (however one personally interprets that) out of impersonal communication (whether it be the Internet or mail art) into the Meatspace of Malkuth.”
So if you’ve only encountered Lupa and Taylor in the specific meme culture of our magazine, why not get your ticket now and see them in the Meatspace of Malkuth (otherwise known as Portland, Oregon?)
